NASA-JSC's 2020 Aliens vs. Astronauts Individual 5k, Team 5k and 1k. Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 13. Saturday, March 28, 2020. Race will take place at the Gilruth Center, 18600 Space Center Blvd., Houston, TX, 77058.
REGISTRATION CUTOFF IS WEDNESDAY MARCH 25 DUE TO NASA-JSC SECURITY PROTOCOL. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK-IN AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE THE MORNING OF THE RACE TO RECEIVE A SECURITY WRIST BAND.
Early registration: Ends March 8. $30 for 5k. $85 for Team 5k. $15 for 1k.

Late Registration: March 9- March 25. $40 for 5k. $120 for Team 5k. $20 for 1k.

Refund Policy: No refunds for any reason will be issued for this event within 30 days of the event start date. Earlier than 30 days before the event, a request may be made for a 50% refund (this will be 50% of entry fee, excluding any processing fees

PACKET PICK UP
Participants may pick up their bags at the Gilruth Center from 4pm-6pm on Friday, March 27. Finisher medals and wrist bands will not be given out until race day. Both 1k and 5k participants who finish the course will receive a medal.
Race results will be posted on runhoustontiming.net
All parking will at the Gilruth Center at no charge. Parking is limited to the north, south, and east lots.
7:00am - Check-in starts
7:45am - Best dressed award (one winner based on people's applause)
7:50am - Group stretch
7:55am - National Anthem
8:00am - 1k start
8:15am - 5k race countdown and launch
9:15am - 5k individual and team awards presentation (Blue Bonnet pavilion)
(to be eligible for an award, there is a 40 minute cutoff on the individual 5k and a combined 3 person team time of 120 minutes. 1k participants are not eligible for an award)
Top three 5k male & female finishers in each division will receive special trophies:
20 and under
The top three teams (3 persons) who have the lowest combined score will receive a team trophy. A person is eligible for both and may receive an individual 5k award and a team 5k award.
1k participants will not be eligible for awards.
*Several hydration stations and road guards will be stationed around both the 1k and 5k courses for participant safety.
A single person will be chosen best dressed by participant voting applause. If you want to participate in the voting please arrive no later than 7:30am and report to the MC tent next to the start line. The voting will take place at 7:45am. This is a relaxed and fun themed event, so come dressed as your favorite Alien or Astronaut!
