Joel Grant - Wellness & Fitness Manager

Joel’s experience in wellness & fitness comes from over 20 years in the industry. During this time, he had the opportunity to consult, coach and train over 1,000 individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds: young & old, from Olympic gold medalists & professional athletes to fortune 500 executives. His experience in health consulting, rehabilitation, performance and functional fitness stem from his experience as an Exercise Physiologist for the University of Chicago Executive Health Program, a Clinical Director for Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation, a Sports Performance Director for Velocity Sports Performance and Athletic Director for Athletes Edge.

Mantra

There’s always room to learn. The older I get, the more I realize I don’t know.

Training Philosophy

Whether you are training to be a professional athlete, do physical labor, or simply just want to look and feel your best, it’s important to train functionally. To achieve optimal performance, real results come from sustained health efforts and dynamic movements. Simply put, train hard, train SMART, and enjoy the process. Want to learn what it means or how to train SMART, just ask. Wellness is a lifestyle, having the right support system will make the journey more pleasurable. My goal is to provide a great team of wellness experts who genuinely care about our members.

Working with people to improve their health and wellness is more about quality of life than achieving a specific goal.
