Basic Rules of Play
  • Disc Golf is played like traditional “ball” golf, but with flying discs instead of balls and clubs. One point (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The goal is to play each hole in the fewest strokes possible. The player with the lowest total strokes for the entire course wins.
  • Play begins on each hole when the first player throws from behind the tee line.
  • The player with the least throws on the previous hole shall throw first on the following hole.
  • Play ends on each hole when the final player from the group gets their disc in the basket.
  • Please make sure at least one hole is between you and any other groups on the course.
  • If any walkers or joggers are on the course, always give them right of way. Do not throw until all individuals are out of range.
  • Course Courtesy:
    • Avoid unnecessary movements and noise while others are throwing.
    • Stand behind the player who is throwing until the throw is complete.
    • Help new players learn the rules.
    • Allow faster groups to play through when possible.
    • Pick up trash and put in proper receptacles.
    • Do not alter the course (trees, bushes, etc.) in anyway.
